Iguazu Tour #3 - Lower Falls (Argentina)

After completing tours #1 & #2  (see red routes on the map), we took a short lunch break.

After the break we walked to the  "Lower Circuit" area (see red #3 on the bottom-right of the map).

From this trail we will see the bottom part of the falls that we  walked on top of during Tour #2. I sure hope that made sense!

The "after-lunch" group. Happy to find some shade! The "wall of falls" in the back.

At about this time the noise from the falls made us talk louder. The view changed slightly as we rounded every corner...

The sun came out strong and the view opened up.
We got a good feel of the strength of this series of waterfalls.
No beauty contest for this sweaty guy... it was hot!

A frontal view of these falls...

... the upper one was serene, but the lower one was turbulent.

To the right of that big waterfall
 is the "wall of falls"
The trail we took on the previous tour is above these falls. This frontal view shows the path that the water takes.

As we neared the end of the trail, we could see the "step formation" quite easily.

Yes, there are still more falls, with this one at the end being quite spectacular.

At the end we were below one of the bigger waterfalls.

During the previous tour we walked above this waterfall and were looking down... remember?

The noise was loud and there was lots of mist... up close the water was rushing and in turmoil!

From the top the smaller falls don't look very "mean". But looking from the top gives you a different feel... ... and you realize that even the small falls are quite something!

This concludes the views from Tour #3 - "Lower Falls".
